Wondering which yoga socks are right for you and your classes? There are many types of socks on the market, but don’t let it confuse you. While you'll hear many different terms used, the best thing you can do is keep things simple.

The two main types of yoga socks you'll come across are yoga grip socks and open toe and heel socks.

anti-slip socks
Balance exercises and movements are at the heart of yoga. With this in mind, having yoga grip socks (or non-slip yoga socks as they are sometimes called) can be a huge benefit.

These types of socks provide you with a high level of traction on the ground due to the material the soles are covered with. In short, they will help you stay stable while moving.

open toe and heel socks
Open-toed yoga socks are exactly what they say on the tin—socks without toes. You may also hear these socks called heel yoga socks because they only cover the heel.

Many standard poses involve stretching your toes and foot muscles. Having open-toe yoga socks allows you to move more freely during these activities.

different sock lengths
While many types of yoga socks only cover the feet, you can choose from a variety of lengths. In some cases, yoga socks are longer and cover the ankles or even calves.

Deciding which style is right for you is a personal choice. It might be worth trying a few different lengths ahead of time before making a decision.
