Pantyhose
In the 1960s, ultra short skirts designed by British designer Mary Quant and Mary Quinn became popular worldwide. Skirts are getting shorter, high stockings are dwarfed, garters are abandoned, socks and underwear become one, and pantyhose is born. Its comfort and convenience are still favored by women worldwide, and this model is long-lasting. The history of humans wearing socks has a long history, and according to incomplete research, it can be traced back to the era of the Yellow Emperor in China, where feet were wrapped in hemp leaves. In Europe, it can be traced back to the Roman era in the 5th century BC. Pantyhose, also known as tight socks or stockings, is a clothing that tightly covers the body from the waist to the feet, and is mostly worn by women. Like stockings, there are many materials available, including cotton, nylon, wool blend, etc. Pantyhose appeared in the 1960s and became another optional form of stockings. The term "pantyhose" appears in the United States, meaning a combination of pants and socks. In the UK, it is called 'tight socks', regardless of thickness. In the United States, pants are also used to represent thick and opaque pantyhose similar clothing, usually worn by women, dancers, and athletes.
