The GRS is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions.
Oeko-Tex certifies non-hazardous end-products and all of their components. Products that carry the Standard 100 label have been tested and proven free of harmful levels of toxic substances.
BSCI is an initiative to advocate the business community to abide by social responsibility compliance. The English spelling is Business Social Compliance Initiative, abbreviated as BSCI. It is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, Europe. Global Organic Textile Standard, referred to as GOTS. The GOTS Standard for Global Organic Textiles aims to ensure that organic textiles are organic throughout the entire process, from the harvesting of their raw materials, through socially and environmentally responsible processing, to labelling, in order to provide end consumers with products they can trust. This standard covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trade and distribution of all textiles containing at least 70% organic, certified fibre content. End products may include (but are not limited to) fiber products, yarns, fabrics, apparel, textile fashion (wear) accessories, textile toys, home textiles, mattresses and bedding and textile personal care products. This standard focuses only on mandatory guidelines, unless otherwise stated. Some of the guidelines specify that entire units processing GOTS products need to meet environmental management, wastewater treatment, low social criteria and audits for processing, manufacturing and trading activities, while others only require specific certified products to meet.
